Centre for Grassroots Economic Empowerment (CGEE)
The Centre for Grassroots Economic Empowerment (CGEE) is a Department of the Justice Development and Peace Commission (JDPC). It is a Non- Governmental Organization that was established to support the empowerment programmes of the JDPC of the Catholic Diocese of Ijebu Ode through poverty alleviation among Farmers, Women and Youth in Cooperatives. In order to meet up with the mandate received from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Central Bank of Nigeria to cover the South West Zone of Nigeria as regional technical service provider, the Centre for Grassroots Economic Empowerment Microfinance was duly registered with CAC in April 2007. Today CGEE covers almost all the major towns in the South western part of the country despite its humble beginning a few years ago at Ijebu-Ode. The Centre comprises of seventy branches through which it renders financial services to Farmers, Women and Women entrepreneurs in the South Western part of Nigeria.

Total empowerment of the poor and socially excluded in the south western part Nigeria.
To promote a saving culture and provide micro credit facilities that will enable the poor and socially excluded in the south west Nigeria to expand life sustaining small scale businesses.

- Client Marketing Strtegy Input
- Local Technical Service Provider (LTSP) appointed by UNDP
- Training Field for MFI and other NGOs appointed by Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
